Marinated Charcuterie

Marinated cheese & charcuterie is a very colorful and tasty appetizer. It is an easy prep ahead of time recipe that you can serve at any gathering and is packed full of salty savory flavor.

Not your average charcuterie board! If you like cheese and charcuterie, then you have not lived until you try them marinated in all these juices and spices to add even more flavor! The combination of a creamy Havarti cheese, salami and Italian Castelvetrano Olives in this appetizer is ridiculously flavorful. Only made more flavorful by adding this delicious marinade to it. And YES, I’m telling you to soak your cheese in that marinade for a few hours or overnight before serving it. TRUST ME. YOU WILL LOVE IT. This marinated cheese recipe is such a great appetizer no matter what time of year! And you'll love how easy it is to throw together.

Ingredients for Marinated charcuterie

You really only need a handful of ingredients to make this appetizer and you can mix and match the ingredients if there is a cheese you have on hand that you want to use or maybe it’s starting to go bad in your fridge.

Ingredients you need to make the marinated charcuterie recipe:

  •  Havarti cheese

  •  Manchego cheese

  •  salami

  •  Italian Castelvetrano Olives

  •  Sun Ripened Tomatoes

    Marinate sauce:

  •  olive oil

  •  red wine vinegar

  •  lemon

  • olive juice

  • sun ripened tomato oil

  •  parsley

  • chili flakes

  • oregano

  •  salt

My favorite dishes to use are either from Staub or Pyrex- great quality and they are easy to clean. At such a great price point you can’t go wrong!

Ingredients:

Havarti Cheese- this is a semisoft fudgy cheese that has a buttery and sweet flavor. It goes so well in this appetizer because it holds that marinate flavor so well! You could always substitute this cheese for a young gouda in this recipe.

Manchego Cheese- this is a hard sheep’s milk cheese from Spain. It is buttery, salty with notes of grass and has a nuttiness to it. It is a very flavorful cheese on it’s own and when marinated in this recipe it heightens it’s flavor! You could aways substitute this cheese with parmesan or asiago.

Italian Castelvetrano Olives- these are bright green olives straight from Sicily, Italy. They are mild and buttery with a crispy flavor and meaty texture. These olives will turn anyone into an olive lover! I highly recommend using them for this recipe. You can buy them on Amazon here.
