Whipped Brie Butter

The compound butter mixture you never knew you needed- BRIE BUTTER. If you like bread, butter & cheese then this is the recipe for you. Its a simple appetizer that is easy to whip up (literally)!

When hosting you want to serve something with a WOW factor that easy to make. This might look like regular butter but when your guests try it they will be blown away by the flavor. When brie & butter are whipped together they become light, creamy and smooth making it the perfect addition to a warm baguette, sourdough, mash potatoes, steak, the options are ENDLESS of what you can put this on.

Normally, I would use an unsalted butter for a compound butter with cheese, however, brie does not have high salt content and needs the extra salted buttery boost to make it that much more flavorful!

Ingredients for Whipped brie Butter

This appetizer requires only four ingredients- you can always add on other toppings like honey, caramelized onions, chili oil- choose your own adventure!

  • Brie cheese

  • Salted butter

  • Heavy cream

  • Course sea salt

This is one of the only recipes that you will see me removing the rind off the brie cheese wheel. Even though this part of the cheese is edible, it does not blend well in the food processor. You just want to creamy interior of the brie cheese for this recipe.

This is the tool I use to remove the rind off my brie cheese. It also cuts the best thin slices of gouda cheese!

You can make this ahead of time and store in your fridge for up to 3 days. It tastes best at room temperature so when you plan to serve it make sure to take it out of the fridge in advance.

  3. Add brie, butter and heavy cream to a food processor and blend until whipped and smooth

TIP: Make sure you cut the rind off your brie cheese when it is cold then wait until it comes to room temperature to put it in the food processor- its must easier to cut cold but much easier to whip at room temp.
