Crispy Baked Boursin with Hot Honey
Boursin is a popular cheese on its own, but when you dredge it in a crispy outer layer of panko and top with hot honey- you have a show stopping appetizer that is crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside!
This appetizer is so easy to make with minimal preparation time required. You can use regular honey or hot honey for a bit of spice.
ps. you don’t need to make hot honey from scratch, get it on Amazon here.
Ingredients for CRISPY BAKED BOURSIN CHEESE
This appetizer requires only a few ingredients and you might want to make two of them because its that GOOD! You can dredge the cheese in flour, egg & panko ahead of time so that it’s ready to go. I suggest putting it in the oven right before your guests come over that way its served hot and fresh!
Boursin cheese
egg
flour
panko breadcrumbs
salt & pepper
hot honey
fresh thyme and rosemary
TIP: use panko NOT regular breadcrumbs. I have tried this recipe both ways and the breadcrumbs get mushy when baked in the oven on this cheese. Whereas, the panko stays nice and crispy and holds its crust around the cheese. Panko will give you that nice CRUNCH!

Crispy Baked Boursin Cheese
Ingredients
- 5.2 oz Boursin Cheese (one)
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
- 1 tsp salt & pepper (to season the bread crumbs)
- 2 tbsp hot honey (or regular honey)
- fresh rosemary or thyme to garish
- crackers of choice
Instructions
- Pre-heat your oven to 400 F
- Dredge your Boursin cheese in flour, egg and panko bread crumbs
- Place crusted cheese a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and put in the oven for 10 minutes to bake (until you see it starting to get golden brown) - or bake in the air fryer at 400 for 7 minutes
- Serve on a dish and top with hot honey and chopped fresh rosemary
- Serve alongside crackers and enjoy warm!
TIP: drizzle the honey on AFTER this bakes! If you bake honey it becomes very liquidy and watery. It’s always best to put on honey afterwards.
Add some fresh rosemary or thyme on top as a garnish to give it some holiday flair!
