Ingredients for Roasted Cranberry Baked brie

Quality of brie cheese matters! I always recommend using a brie cheese that is French- brie cheese originated in France so if it is French you know it’s creamy, has notes of mushroom and will melt really well! When melted, the cheaper brie cheeses can often pool with oil which means they aren’t the best quality and stuffed with fillers & additives. When making baked brie, spend a little bit more on the cheese to make sure it’s a quality one.

Here are all the ingredients that you’ll need for this recipe:

  • Brie Cheese

  • Cranberries

  • Olive Oil

  • Sugar

  • Orange (juice and zest)

  • Balsamic Vinegar

  • Honey

  • Cinnamon (optional)

  • Fresh Thyme

The sugar might not seem necessary, but it is for this recipe! Cranberries are naturally sour and tart, but the sugar gives them some sweetness and jamminess which is what you want after roasting them!

My favorite pans to use are by USA pan - great quality and they never change color or warp on me. At such a great price point you can’t go wrong!

I am always asked about what baked brie dish I use and this is my favorite one by STAUB

Roasted Cranberry Baked Brie

This baked brie has all the flavors of the holiday season! Something magical happens when you roast cranberries with orange juice and balsamic- truly the perfect pairing with a creamy baked brie cheese.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz wheel of brie cheese
  • 12 oz bag of fresh cranberries
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 tbsp balsamic vinegar or glaze
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • 2 tbsp honey (drizzle after baking)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
  • fresh thyme and rosemary (garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat your oven to 375
  2. Add cranberries to a baking sheet and add on olive oil, balsamic, sugar & orange zest. Give them a good stir in that mixture!
  3. Roast in the oven for 10 minutes- cranberries will start to sizzle and burst, then take out of the oven and add your brie cheese in the middle
  4. Score the top of your brie cheese wheel and add the juice of the orange you zested and some of those roasted cranberries on top of the cheese so those flavors seep in while baking (option to add on some cinnamon too at this time)
  5. Bake for 15 more minutes or until brie starts to open up and ooze cheese
  6. Out of the oven, top the brie and cranberries with a drizzle of honey and fresh herbs like thyme and rosemary
  7. Serve alongside crackers or warm baguette and ENJOY warm!

Notes

Add honey on AFTER the brie bakes. If you add it on before it will become very runny and watery
