One of the best appetizers you can serve for any get together is cheese & charcuterie. So why not add a little festive flavor and create an edible wreaths out of crescent rolls! The crescent roll wreath not only holds all your accompaniments perfectly, but it is fully edible and tastes delicious paired with these rich cheeses and meats!
Ingredients for Charcuterie wreaths
This appetizer requires minimal ingredients and ones you might already have on hand in the fridge! Serve them on a big charcuterie board and add little red bows to really make them look holiday ready. Here’s a list of ingredients that I used to make mine:
Crescent rolls
Egg
Salami
Cheddar
Pepper Jack
Grapes
Blackberries
Rosemary
I braided my strips of crescent roll dough and while this isn’t necessary to make the wreath it does look really pretty! Feel free to just use a strip to make the wreath if you’d prefer- just cut your dough strips a bit wider if you are going this route.
TIP: make sure you use egg wash on the outside of your wreaths before putting them in the oven. This will make them extra crispy and flaky.
